a private tour of LAIKA animation studio in Hillsboro where you’ll get an up-close glimpse
of their next feature film. See puppets and sets and learn what they do to create life, in 24
frames per second. LAIKA is an animation studio specializing in feature films, including
three Oscar-nominated stop-motion films: The Boxtrolls (2014), ParaNorman (2012) and
Coraline (2009), as well as the CG short Moongirl (2005). Its fourth feature, Kubo and the
Two Strings, will open in theaters nationwide on August 19, 2016.
